CEHD International Initiatives is hosting scholars from Kazakhstan as part of the international visiting scholars program focused on research, pedagogy, and leadership. Scholars are coming from different institutions across various regions in Kazakhstan, including Almaty, Astana, Aqtobe, Karagandy, and Shymkent. The program is funded within the framework of “500 scholars” program by the Government of Kazakhstan.
The program is designed to provide a structured experience that supports scholars in building knowledge and capacity in research methods, innovative teaching approaches, and academic leadership. Designed as a cohort model with individualized experiences, each scholar is paired with one local faculty during their time on campus. As a group, they participate in organized seminars, workshops, field experiences, and projects and work one-on-one with the assigned host faculty.
