Danielle first joined TRIO as a STEM Instructor for the University of Minnesota TRIO Upward Bound (UB) Program. Soon after, she continued her journey with TRIO as the first TRIO Upward Bound Math-Science (UBMS) Advisor for Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN where she assisted in the creation and development of their newly funded TRIO UBMS Program. While at Metropolitan State University, Danielle was honored with the promotion and ability to serve both their TRIO UB and UBMS programs as the TRIO UB Programs Coordinator.
Danielle has been working in traditional and nontraditional education settings for over a decade. Before joining TRIO, Danielle served as a middle school and high school teacher, museum educator, park ranger, lead environmental educator, volunteer coordinator, research assistant, and adjunct professor. Danielle is dedicated to advancing equity and social justice in education, and she has a strong passion for helping and empowering others so they can reach their educational, professional, and personal goals. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Winona State University, her Master of Science in Biology from the University of South Dakota, and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University.
